Does anyone know how many ATVs Argo and Max sell a year combined? It might help when designing the the Dream ATV to go toe to toe. |

Can't tell you how many Argos, But Recreatives puts out about 25 max a week x 50 weeks should be about 1250 a year. They just had a story in the Buffalo News about sending 10 Max IV to Afghanistan for the Special Forces. The article said the U.S. soldiers give the Max a thumbs up. The article also says RI has been around for more than 30 years, employs about 25 people, selling roughly 1000 ATVs a year. |

Hi Craig, I don't know about Argo and Max, but Cushman built 1000 Tracksters per year from 1970 to 1976, this record still stands. |

That's really quite a few machines. Then you see how many quads Honda pumps out a year, and we seem pretty dang small. Hey Fred, Cool to hear the Max is hitting the mountains of Afghanistan to aid in the hunt for Osama. Do you know if the article is online so we could all get the scoop? I'd like to read the full story. Speaking of combat machines, check out this cool link I snagged off the Rokon company site about some Special Forces TrailBreakers. http://www.janes.com/defence/land_forces/news/idr/idr010307_1_n.shtml Neat to see our "weird" little machines doing their part in the fight for freedom. Haven't seen anything about quads overseas in the thick of things. Hmmmmm... -Harry |

Harry, The article was online dated March 4, 2002. I think it is in their archives now and it looked like you have to be a subscriber to get the whole article. I did a search for RI (was mailed a paper copy by the factory) was hoping to post a link, but I couldn't figure out how to get that done. |

The last time I saw the MAX numbers was about a year ago and at that time it was somwhere around 45 to 49000 machines since day one. |
