How does everyone transport firearms on their Max IV's? Right now My Max Iv is pretty much stock with a RI Roll cage. I want to add a windshield and a large rear cargo rack. What are my options for placement of a gun rack or gun boot. If anyone has pictures of what they have done that would be awsome. |

Ram,
I had an inexpensive plastic 2 rifle case from walmart. I drilled 4 holes down through the top roll bar in the front and back. I mounted it using 4 bolts washers and wingnuts. I used it this last deer season and It worked great. It was inexpensive, kept the guns from the elements and secure for rough riding. I looked at the open racks and wanted more protection. The boot style were too pricey. It may look a litle odd but it also kept some rain off me as well.

Ram, I put my shot gun in a soft case with muzzle end kinda under the dash,side locks in between the seat cushion and the side of the body,most cases your not blasting down trails when hunting.I also built a front cargo rack out of old style alum. running boards if I carry a hard case,it expands so I can carry a 5 gal. can if need be.Won't interfear with your future windshield. |
