i finally killed the battery in my max iv. i guess the 300 watts of halogen lights finally took their toll on it. upgrading to a gell cell optima or something similar comes to mind. a trolling motor is in the works for next duck season, so if i have to get a battery anyway i might as well go ahead and upgrade now. i just wanted some comments, suggestions, and/or ideas before i drop $175 on a yellow optima. weight is not a major issue, i got my pontoons back from the boat shop last week so ill be more than ready for the extra weight. once i finish the mounts ill post the pics link on my old pontoon post. |

hehe, i dont drive bare foot. it looks like it would be in the way but its not, i dont even know its there. my foot placement doesnt change. i brainstormed for a while and this was the best way to do it. it was easy to do and its easy to access for hooking up the trolling motor or jumping off another battery. im pleased with how it turned out. |
