Hi! My name is Valery, I am from Russia, Ural, Ekaterinburg. I have Argo Conquest 8õ8 2004. Last winter I didn’t have time to buy Super Tracks - it is difficult to do it here in Russia, in Ekaterinburg. Unfortunately we don’t have any information here about how Argo with Super Tracks behaves in deep snow. In winter we have about 1-1.5 m (4-5 f) of snow, temperature is about -20 -30 Ñ. While trying to find some information I’ve come across the pictures of Kevin Watson Argo (http://www3.sympatico.ca/kvn.rob/Conquest.html) with Super Tracks, the pictures are great. I wrote to him but have no answer. Could you please answer some of my questions about Argo and Super Tracks: 1. What is the maximum depth of snow that Argo can pass with Super Tracks, and with what load? 2. While going through the snow (without road), in what gear can Argo go? I’ve heard that with Super Tracks Argo can only go in hill-climbing gear, is it true? If it’s true, is it harmful for the engine and transmission? Please see my site www.ufo.ural.ru Photos http://www.ufo.ural.ru/ufopics.htm My Argo: The first time: http://www.ufo.ural.ru/albom/Molebka/08_090504/08_090504.html http://www.ufo.ural.ru/albom/Molebka/22_230504/22_230504.html http://www.ufo.ural.ru/albom/Molebka/11_140604/11_140604.html http://www.ufo.ural.ru/albom/Platonida/190604/190604.html Great Time!!! Thank you. Those are the question that I have for now. Best regards, Valery Yakimov |

I live in Alaska we have an about five too eaight feet of snow every winter I two have a conquest and super tracks for it the tracks do slow it down to about half its speed and low gear is a must most of the time as far as deep that dose not matter as much as type of snow first snow fall is a bit tuff to drive on but the colder it gets the better it is to get around tempiiture plays a big part in how to drive in it i allso use mine to plow snow some times i have to put sand bags in it just to brake throu the snow to plow it I dont think you will have to much trouble getting around with super tracks it will be slower but detpth is not two much of a problum |

Thank you! I have some new questions: How do you think drive at low gear is harmful for the engine and transmission? Or it is normal drive? On the charge of fuel how many increases at tis driving at low gear? What do you think about Kevin Watson Argo adaptation http://community.webshots.com/photo/123480482/289354769pcAXCc http://community.webshots.com/photo/123480482/289392533XnzooD http://community.webshots.com/photo/123480482/293281050BrnHpd with Super Tracks? Thank you? Valery Yakimov |

Valery, low gear isn't harmful to the transmission or the engine. The clutch converts the power and low gear will give you more torque to get through the snow. Just make sure you keep it maintained well to prolong its life. Fuel will not be consumed much more than running flat out in Hi gear. It all depends on the conditions though as someone said above. |
