How does a modernized Coot compair to a Max or Argo? I have a upgraded Coot with a 2000 Vangard 16 horse. I have 31 inch Terra tires and modern electronics. Top speed is about 15mph but I run in low range alot speeds of 3-5 mph. I love the sound of that v-twin and love the arm pain I get from the fws. (non power) of course. Payload is great, I built a covered hard top all connected to the rear tub. It can carry a canoe or lumber , it even works great for a couple of lawn chairs! Well what do you think? |

A COOT IS A VERY GOOD WORKHORSE ATV, BUT I THINK THEY MAY TOO WIDE TO RIDE MANY TRAILS. THE MAX AND ARGO ARE A LITTLE EASER TO DRIVE, WITH THE ARGO MAY BE THE EASEST TO DRIVE AS FAR AS EFFORT ON THE ARMS. MY MAX WILL RUN ABOUT 30 BUT SELDOM RUN THAT FAST. 5 TO 10 MPH IS MORE THE NORM. SO HOW MUCH DO THE NEW COOTS SELL FOR? GOOD LUCK AND YOU SHOULD TRY TO COME TO A TRAIL RIDE AT HASPIN AND SEE FOR YOUR SELF. |

Coolmax57: I do not think that the new Coot is in production yet. The company has me on their e-mail notification list, and "early 2004" is the latest production date that I am aware. I have not seen a price list. |
