I have a 8X8/tracked Anphib. It's called a "Kid". They were built in the late 60's. It's weight is approx. 2000lb dry. Mine has a 32 hp, V-4 Winsconson engine with two big Vicor pumps. It's pretty disappointing with just the tires. I use the tracks most of the time. The problem is, the steel guides are shot. They are chewing up the tires and are difficult to straighten. Does anyone have information or a source for these guides?

What size are the guides?? And how many do you need? You could use a good one to make some new ones or use it match up to other guides used on other tracked machines. Take a look at older tracked snow machines for guides. Look for Thiokel sprites, Piston Bullies, etc.... Many of these older machines are just sitting around today or at least the tracks are laying around since they don't fit the larger current machines. Also, a fair welder could make guides.
