Does any one know of a good place to ride in VA TN KY NC SC and so on, all the large 1000 ac + sites I have found only allow quads or 4x4 trucks, granted I have both a quad and a hefty 4x4, but I bought my max 4 and would like to find a good place to ride it, going over the same trails at my farm is starting to get old |

Well got a response from wind rock and they do allow 6x6. looks like a good place to go and ride here is the info that they sent me both sites are up www.windrockatv.com and www.coalcreekohv.com permits are on sale every weekend 8-2 pm at the parking lot and at several other locations around the area. open 24/7/365 $10 per bike per day or $50 for the year of 2003. camping is allowed where ever you want no open fires must be in some type of a container 55gal drum etc. trails are open to all types of transportantion some are only for bikes and atv's while othere are open to every thing. rules are don't tear up the place and take out what you take in. helmets and other saftey equip. are up to to the person's descresion |

You might like to try out "Turkey Bay" in Kentucky in the "Land Between the Lakes" area. It is between KY lake and Lake Barkley. We have ridden there alot and really enjoy it. They have all types of terrain and to the best of my memory it is 2500 acres. |

I would just like to add that I ride at windrock and live in N.C. it is worth the two hour drive i try to go every weekend. i ride a four wheeler most of the time. but just got a max4 and rode it there this weekend had a blast with it. windrock is the largest place on the east caost that you can go and ride anything.there is trails for every level of rider there is ponds, mud holes hill climbs, rock climbs. go and have fun you will not be disappointed. i have meet people there from as far away as canada. |
