Only about 4 1/2-5 hours, but need more advanced notice. To much going on until after christmas. We have always done a fall run to LBL the last 7 years, but I think the next time we go that way we will try Paddy's Bluff.I dont like that they have filled in the Gator pit ,and all this no muddin thing as well as graveling all the water crossings has got me not wanting to go there. This is just my opinion on what has and is happening to what used to be an excellent park. L.A., Paddys has a web site if you are interested in looking into it instead of LBL. Eddie |

Eddie, Tony delivered it yesterday. It was pouring rain and blowing hard so I didn't take it for a ride. I sent you an e-mail on some things I saw with it. Tony Barnes plans on improving the product and wants feedback. The AVx4 that I got was assembled out of left over inventory. Tony built a fleet of 10 or 11 and kept one for testing and sold the others. It has the 25" Calrisle Strykers and they wouldn't swim on a Argo. The AVx4 has more freeboard so I'll see if it will swim with them. The tires are very close to the body and are inflated quite a bit. I imagine if I lower the pressure they may rub. I might try moving the axles out a little. The engine is solid mounted without any adjustment so the belt is tight and the idle has to be very low to keep the machine from rolling. I'll probably pull the engine and slot the holes so it can be adjusted. The pivot rod on the control levers seems to small so there is slop in the levers. The right lever is worse than the left. The rods or bolts that hold the engine cover are too long and cut be cut down an inch to inch and a half. It needs tail lights. The brush guard is not mandrel bent and needs some gussets to beef it up. These are just things that I saw and mentioned to Tony or he saw and told me he planned on making changes. I think he will make some improvements to the machine. I am going to go out and ride it around a little this afternoon. I don't want to beat it up too much or get it dirty. |

Jerry could you forward the message to edmami2006@yahoo.com,my old e-mail address is gone and I havent signed up yet, with my new provider.I had ample room between tires and body with the 25" rawhide III. They may have had some shorter axles that were used .With some improvements it can be a affordable AATV.Watch the drain trough if you get in some rough stuff though. |
