We will be having a BIG ride here in East Texas next fall(2008)We have it all here MUD,SWAMPS,ROCK,SAND,RIVERS,DID I SAY MUDD!!!!!!!!!
We want it to be a family ride for all.I'm working on alot of things for this ride but would like to hear some in-put from all on what you would like to see & do at a big ride.I know there will be free food (Texas BBQ)& GREAT RIDING!!Yes there will be R.V. hook ups, tent camping shop for repairs There will be EMS on site with the ride all weekend long.

What are the dates? I am in the processing of putting in my requested vacation dates for 2008. We have to do it in November the previous year. This is one of the reasons I can't make it to the rides. I can't get off work. |

Eddie Good to hear from you, let us know the date and I will be there! I bet you will have a big turn out, with this much notice, people can set their vacation around the BIG ride, be sure to post it on Route66 events page

ok,but it gets cooler here in Nov.In the upper 70 during the day & 60s at night I wish we had a poll place here.LOL Then we could give a month then see what date we get.LOL
I was thinking the second weekend of Nov. But its not set.
This is what I have so far,POND RACE,MUD-BOG,NIGHT RIDE,BON-FIRE,TREASURE HUNT,RIVER RIDE,SWAMP RIDE. |

All the guys up north are rolling their eyes when they read that 
I was in Austin one Dec and the leaves stayed on the trees all year, well some types of trees.. winter in Texas means a t shirt may not be enough  I think Texas is the place to have winter rides. |

Hey, Roger and I camped out at the Flatnasty ride. I sleep in back of my truck with a tarp over the bed.(no shell) Roger slep on cott in the open.I got up early and looked over at him,he was covered in frost. It looked like snow when he got out of his sleeping bag. Was a great time still.I really enjoy the camping with Roger at these rides.We watched some DVD of a place he went riding at.And traded good story of what been happening lately in our lives. Rick |

Well im looking at 2 parks.MUD CREEK is in Jacksonville,Tx.(2000 acers) They hold the HILIFTER nationals there every year for Atvs.(www.mudcreek.com) Great park!!
I'm also looking at RIVER RUN its in Neches,Tx.(2800 acers)(www.riverrun.com) Its the one I'm really looking at hard.Great park.Would take 3 days to ride all the trails once!!
The thing is, both parks are with in 30 min. of each other.
I hope to have video of both parks by this spring. |

I google mapped your area, Eddie. I had a friend in Center, Tx and I guess you're in that area. I might try to come down some time. We also have the Superlift Park in Hot Springs, and a chunk of Oklahoma wilderness in SE Oklahoma I need to check out. If you and Mudbug get the urge to travel. |

Hey,
Got some great video from River run park this weekend. I'll have it up in a few days, ok!! I'll be getting more as time goes on.We have it all here for every one.MONSTER MUD TRUCKS,ATV'S,6x6's,UTV'S.
REMEBER we have not had any rain in about 2 months but we still have alot of mud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know you folks will love the video.It will take a few day since Im new to this video thing.(LEARNING) |

Eddie- This would be a marathon trip for me but I will work on it. To be clear,a 2008 calendar shows Nov. 1st. as a Saturday. Does that make the second weekend in November ,Sat.Nov. 8 and Sun. Nov.9 2008? |

That damn BBQ sounds so good... I will be freezing, eating a lunchable, peeing in an old milk jug waiting for a deer that may never come. Actually sounds kinda fun, but I would have loved to have met you all and had some true Texas BBQ. |
