Hi Lance, I plan to bring the same Max that followed you out after it rolled over on the Friday nite ride. I am hoping to ride all weekend this year. I hear that you are driving a Max IV now. I bet you still have the ATTEX, do you? W. Phillip Cox |

We'll be showing up Friday afternoon to get a feel how the two stroke machines will perform this year. Hopefully the caged Superchief will be considered "unique" even though it is just another Attex. My Dad picked up a Kadoo earlier this year, which is actually a very neat little machine, but it certainly won't be ready for the ride. Now THAT is a unique machine. It steers almost like a Scrambler. Maybe next year that machine will be able to make an appearance? It'll be good to see you all there again... Maybe my Attex can make it on a bit of a longer ride this year... ~mike |

It will be great to see everyone again at Copper Ridge! I am looking forward to it as usual, hoping to do better at the rodeo. And to think, the Ledges ride only two weeks later. Lots of good riding opportunities in July!! |

This year my daughter is driving her clasic Marc 12 Scrambler. I will drive my Argo Bigfoot and bring another "Unique" machine. Hint? It runs like a Deere. Don't have room for the Hustler this time. |

Well it is less than a week away, who from the board will be attending Copper Ridge this year? The organizers are trying to get a rough count to plan food and such. It should be a good time as usual, my favorites are still the night rides. Who recalls the night ride (I believe it was two years ago) when we had the torrential cloudburst just as we arrived at the big swamp? |

hi john, tim schotanus, george bretton, and myself from mass, i recall that cloud burst, as well as several others, we just dont get wether like yours out east in MA. we thought we had sevear wether but man it pores in southwestern NY.! george and i were planning to travel together his truck and camper pulling my double trailer so i have bin tryeing to have my maxII ready from it's fraim out and fraim up restoration in time, however he just informed me that with his camper on he will only pull his maxIV on his trailer. at this point im not sure what i'l do now. it's ether save 1/2 the fuel costs rideing with george or try to have everything ready to pull with my own rig. justy not enoph notice im afraid. but i will be there along with them, with or without my machine. |

I'll be coming late and just might make the 7 o'clock night ride.are you camping low or high near Chris's house? |

I am not sure where we will camp yet. We have a pretty large group with the folks coming from IN and Mich. The good news is that the weatherman has predicted a deluge for wednesday, so the trails and mud holes should be "just right". No rain is forecast for the weekend. Dennis your memory is better than mine, the important thing is I remember that it was a blast.Dave, it will be good to see you guys again, but I don't understand the 'not enough notice' this date was set a year ago. See you there, we will arrive friday after lunch. |

I keep checking the weather updates for this week in the Olean area. As of 2:00PM today, the NWS is forecasting between 2 and 3 inches (!) of rain for tomorrow (Wednesday). This ought to make things fun for the weekend, with enough dry areas between the huge mud-holes in the woods. John's right; a deluge it is! This ought to be a lot of fun again this year. ~mike |

Dennis, I think the Bflo airport got the 1.79 inches. I live over by Brockport; we received 3 inches, with 4 inches just east of Rochester. I remember Copper Ridge '04 was a perfect trail situation. The puddles up on some of the wider trails were nearly 1 foot deep in places, with generally "soft" conditions on a lot of others. It's so much better this way than having it too dusty. I can't wait to get down there in about 24 hrs. I'll be towing two of the Attexes into town in the early afternoon. I hope to meet a bunch more of you-all who only have usernames so far... ~mike |

If you missed the Copper Ridge Jamboree for 2006, you passed up an excellent event. The facility is getting better each time, this year there was water available at many campsites and electric available at some. The chicken bbq was excellent and on time. The rodeo was well organized and proceeded quite smoothly( except for that dummy in the green MaxII who went around the barrel the wrong way, duh) Tim Schotanus was the king of the water crossing as usual, blowing away the competition. Other highlights were: Mr Cox completed the whole weekend right-side-up, a first I believe.I drank a whole can of beer on saturday night, another first. The Mott family now has an Argo Conquest that runs the entire weekend. There was a large turnout of old machines that kept things exciting, man they really fly!! Even mother nature cooperated with a nice pre-soak rain on wednesday and a deluge of biblical proportions around 3 AM on saturday, sunny and warm the rest of the time. The friday night ride ended around 2AM and the saturday night ride included around 25 AATVs. The staff at Copper Ridge Trails wants the event to continue and to grow. They would like to hear all comments from participants about how to best accomplish this. If you don't come, why not. If you came, what did you like or dislike. |

i solved the mistery of why on the second mud pit saturday night the greem maxIV we all expected to fly 3/4 the way across the pit before landing insted nose dived into it. by advancing fraim by fraim i discovered a searis of bounces the last of wich was prehaps 12 to 15 feet before the edge sent the machine atleast a foot abouve the ground till the center tires hit the edge, the machine was alrerady on a downward ark before the center tires hit and with the inersa it tiped down dramaticly on it's way in. i guess speed wont help with that entry point. |

What a great time again this year at Copper Ridge! Perfect weather, enough mud to be entertaining and a fun crowd to ride with. The "conversation" around the campfire friday night(until 2am) was a classic. The sight of Mikey swimming, without his Max IV, back across the watercross pond is something I will never forget, and I got it on video! To those who ordered videos, they all went out in the mail Monday. It is a pretty good video, I got some good footage of the guys launching there machines into the pond, as well as everyone standing on their nose crossing that small creek. |

Tom, I am happy to assure you that God willing I will be at the Ledges Ride. I have my Avenger washed and Armour All -ed. No thanks to you or Kevin's daughter, Shawna for getting it muddy. I understand that a water war may occur in the lake and I will be coming armed. Please tell your son to bring rain gear. W. Philip Cox |
