hey guys, I have a muskateer in its original state. steepat, your right the tranny is big and bulky but its function is good. I dont like the peddles but I do like how each side can turn the opposite way. Does anyone know how many horspower the tranny can handle? the imput shaft seems on the small side. I have the machine completely apart and i am going to put a steel frame on the inside with argo drive train parts, (bearings. seals, flanges etc.) I did some measuring and I will be able to put 25 or 26 in. tires on it. any imput on hp would be helpful. 20 hp briggs is what i have in mind but I do not want to blow the tranny up. |

I recently purchased a muscateer, and was looking for anyone who could help me find any information about these machines. I am planning on restoring my machine and have some questions for other owners. Thanks, Garland |

Y'all gotta Muscateer too? Me as well. All I have to do is drop in an 8 or 10hp engine and do some minor adjustments and off I go. Well, probably more major than minor, huh? Anything I can help you guys with or vice versa. Thanks. |
