RICK AS LONG AS YOU HAVE APROX 3/8 INCH SPACE BETWEEN ENGINE CLUTCH SHAFT AND BELT AT ENGINE STOP AND ALSO THE ENGINE IDLES WITHOUT TURNING BELT OR DOSENT DRAG THE BELT ON FACE IF BELT IS HELD AT A STOP WHILE ENGINE IS RUNNING THAN IT'S OK, HOWEVER IF BELT IS TOUTCHING SHAFT AT ENGINE STOP IT'S TOO TIGHT, ALSO CHECK YOUR WIDTH, DOSE THE BELT SIT RIGHT UP AT THE TOP IF NOT EVEN A LITTLE TINY BIT HIGHER ON TRANS PULLY= GOOD WIDTH OR IS IT 1/4' LOWER THEN TOP OF TRANS PULLY=WORN OUT YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIND OTHER LENTH BELTS IF NESESARY FOR YOUR CUSTOM APLICATION, DID YOU MAKE YOUR ENGINE MOUNT ADGUSTABLE? IT'S A GREAT IDEA SO YOU CAN GET A CLOASE BELT AND THEN ADGUST ENGINE TO DIAL IT IN JUST RIGHT! |

i think its 13" also there is an engine clutch that has a bearing in the crotch so when your idling it doesn"t sit there and burn. steve |
