thgere should be two plugs one top one bottom - take boith off fill from the top untell start to come out of the bottom one

The folks at Recreative also mentioned that adding some limited slip differential stuff was a good idea. Unfortunately, I forgot what exactly and how much. Does anyone know?

Four ounces of limited slip differential additive is what you need to add to the T-20. The local auto parts store will rip you off for about $5 for that little bottle, but it's a big improvement in an older T-20.

Herb-G.M. limited slip differential additive.Comes in a little plastic bottle ( 4 ounces )if I remember right.Put it all in WITH
28 ounces of dextron. Total=one quart.(if you're Canadian its a whole new set of numbers) Good Luck.

I was looking at a couple of these limited slip additives at the local parts store, and on the back of the bottle/tube, it says very plainly that the additives are "not for use in ATF applications". Is this simply a disclaimer, or are there potentially real problems with mixing ATF and this additive. Are there different brands; one of which may be applicable to ATF applications like the T20?

It is my understanding that you would not mix the additive with ATF in an automatic transmission. The additive causes slip in the clutches, and this is why it works so well in a T-20. It allows the bands to slide easier instead of grabbing and jerking the machine around. If you put the additive in your car's automatic transmission, it would cause the clutches to slip excessively and burn up.

I agree completely with your thoughts. The general statement "not for use in ATF applications" caused a knee-jerk response. Perhaps I'll give it a shot and see if anything changes. I have at least one machine that does jerk/grab a bit, but I may inspect the bands to see if there's something else going on before I add the magic fix-all...
