Hello all, I have an older MAX II and was planning on swapping out the old JLO engine for an 18HP B&S, but a couple of days ago I came across an deal I couldn't pass up and was wondering if any of you had comments. A guy up the road from me sold me his old RUPP snowmobile for $25. I has a 2 cylinder Hirth engine in it. It is 634cc's. Although it needs a couple of things (the engine) I did get it to run, and it sounds pretty good. So would this be a decent engine for my MAX? I live at 5500' or so, and am looking for power instead of speed, so I would think 634cc's would do it. Any thoughts? It needs some seals and some carb parts (tillotson), but I would think I could get them. Anyone else have something like this in a 6x6? Thanks for the input. |
