THERE WAS A CO. IN EDMONTON,ALBERTA THAT BUILT A 6WHEELER CALLED A TRISPORT. I RECENTLY PICKED ONE UP, IT HAS A KOHLER 400cc 2CYCLE, 2 STROKE ENGINE AND A HYDRAULIC TRANS. ITS A TRUE SKIDSTEER(NO BRAKES) AND I WAS WONDERING IF ANYBODY HAD EVER HEARD OF IT. I'M GUESSING IT WAS BUILT IN THE SEVENTIES(CRAZY HOOD SCOOP). |

A Trisport? Are you sure about that? The Alsport company made a atv known as a Tri-Sport that was a three wheeler (thus the name tri), but I don't know of them making a Hex-Sport! :) They did make the tracker... sort of like a double-wide snowmobile looking thing. You can see a picture of a Tri-Sport trike on my website: http://gotocrystal.net/~speedy64/garage.htm Go to the "Classic ATV" page. Let me know what you find out... I'm curious now! Jeff |

Those are some nice dune buggies,Jeff. I took a look at your trisport, looks like a blast. My machine is a trisport(sixwheeler though)it still has the decals on the side. It doesn't have a vin#, but the dash has a sticker that says it was built here in Edmonton. I have a pal that fixes trikes, quads and snowmachines, he installed new tires for me and said the wheels might be from a prairie bobcat. Itend to think it look a lot like the 6x6's on the `routes` webpage, older argos and such. I thank you for the replies.I'll work on getting sone pics, though my digital camera packed it in, and i dont have a scanner. |

I have just purchased a "Beaver" amphibious vehicle. It's old probably 50's or early 60's. It is a 2 wheel rear drive in a fiberglass hull with a center dual front wheel setup. She lacks a motor but I'll power it with a small 2 stoke. Has anyone ever heard of or seen a "Beaver ATV"?? Where were they built and when? Joe Haslett please respond,,, apparently you owned one? How do they handle? How many horsepower etc..?? |
