Hi Scream I too have purchased a AMF SUR TREK. I have no idea what model mine is. It took me 3 months to find out what it was. "There was no id. left on mine" The one I have needs lots of repairs so if you know of any place I can get the supports that go on the axel to support the back side of the tire let me know. Is your sur trek hard to steer? & how fast does it go? Thanks Mike A Simpson |

Mike,What size are your axles? The supports sound like the ones on many older 6x6s . Maybe someone who has changed over to 8" wheels might have some of those supports? Can you guys post some pictures on Route6x6 Photo page? Those look like a really interesting machine. How do they steer? It looks like the 2 sections bend in the middle. Is that done by a hydraulic ram or what? I too purchased an unknown ATV last year. It turned out to be a Rough Rider6x6(I belive) . |

I too just bought a Sur TREK today. Its in rough shape. I bought if for the neighbor kid. He needed a Project. Does anyone have a manual they can Photo Copy or parts guide. I will pay up to $20 for one. There are no Hydraulics in the machine. I loaded it up a dusk with a winch so I didn't get that good of a idea how it steers but it just seems to be with rods and bushings. Don't try is standing still. It wont budge. Pictures, drawings, etc would be much appreaciated. |
