I am currently restoring a tt-18. I will be making new axles and was looking for input on the type of steel to use. I did a rockwell test on the originals and they appear to be soft. Any sugestions on what steel type to use, I was thinking about a pre-hardened P-20. I e-mailed Richard with some photos of my project hopefully he will be posting them soon. I am sure to have many more questions as I go and will appreciate any feedback.------------Dan |
