I was wondering if anyone can help me with this, I have tried everything from pullers to heat to a large hammer. I am ready to just take the torch to it. Any help out there on this one. |

Did you try the corect clutch puller? They make them that thread into the end of the clutch that presses againts the crankshaft. If you beat on it, it will break. Also using the puller , tighten it up and leave it set for a while , then tighten it a little more and leave it set. When you finally hear a loud pop, you'll find your cltuch and puller on the floor. |

Tate, We spray the shaft with a good penetrating oil, let it soak for at least a day, even two, then use a large hammer and pry bar to drive it off. P.S when you replace the clutch, use anti-seize compound on shaft. |

Thanks guys I have the puller on right now as well as I have soaked it with pen. oil so I will tighten it every once and a while then check on it to see if it moves at all. Fred I hope I don't have to replace it as it works perfectly fine but it has to come off to get the tranney bolts out. I am tearing it down and rebuilding but the tranny is one thing that is still very good. Thanks again Tate |
