I have a MAX II, 1985 with the Tecumseh 16HP.
Some of the sheet metal on the exhaust side of the motor is missing (I think).
Does anyone have a photo or parts list (picture or diagram) that would show what this engine looked like when the AATV was new?
Was there duct work to send hot air out of the engine area?

CSRichmond,
I don't have a picture or other, but going on memory, there wasn't any duct work. There is the metal shield protecting the body plastic, but the engine itself was open to the air. The only thing that has changed from current models (except the 800T and 850T) is the engine. If you can find a newer machine and look; that is what you should have.

i have an 86 that was oridganly a techumpsa engine, it has a duct scoop that ligns up with the cluch side of engine head, exiting hot air is sent directly out the holes on driver side, i placed leaf gutter screen inside my duct to prevent things from falling down the scoop into engin compartment, this doubles as a food warming compartment, i heat M.R.E.'s in there, it works great for this.
some time in it's past a previous owner replaced the techumpsa engin with an arctic cat 440cc 2 stroke though,
