I just recently tried to pull apart two plastic totes froze together to make portable duck blinds.When I hooked my Max II to them the engine revs up but the tires wouldn't break loose. Should the tires break loose, if so what problem should I look for to keep from having a towing problem in the future? I tried this on a grassy surface.

mat's under the falce inpresion that bands slip, it's your belt, you havent the hp, as brandon said it'l take some reves in nutral and a slam into gear so to speek, but be cairfull if you go the route of traveling the lenth of some slack in a tow strap or chain, unexpected things happen when you do that, best to let it thaw out before trying to brake it free,don't underestemate the strenth of ice, maybe mat will try a 50' running start with his mean ol bigfoot, but it'l likely rip the rease right out of the back of it,
or the chain'l hit him on the back of his head,
don't get me wrong i know mat, i like the guy, and even though he dose own a max thats likely in beter shape than mine i can say for certin he ether dosent know the diference between a belt and a band or his trany is the one in realy sad shape.
sorry mat,t-20 bands dont slip as often as you think,

Make sure you have a good drive belt on your max and your T20 could be out of adjustment. Also check for oil on the belt or the inside has a lot of water in it getting on the belt. All of these things can stop you in your tracks.

David so what your saying is the tranny doesnt slip but not enough power from engine. Soounds like it is to high geared.Maybe a low range trans wouldnt be a bad idea. Eddie PS To many slams on the laterals and the bands break at the loop on the ends.

Hi Dave... thanks for the laugh. I was riding my Max today and the bands slipped on me. My tranny is in good shape and the belt is Great. It is a Fact the bands do slip when alot of torq is needed. But on the other hand... The bands in the T-20 are what makes it so fund to rip and tear in about 3" of snow or loose dirt. I love the sporty feel and response of my Max and other six wheelers I own that came with T-20's The BigFoot is also Fun but does not have the sporty feel. It is more tough and rugged. This is why I own both brands along with my other oldie but goodie six wheelers.

eddi, i don't think theres any certin# of slams the bands will take befor braking, instead id say the ones that brake were borderline regectes or falty to start with,
thats the way i drive mine all the time and the trany is the only thing still holding together,
