I have a oil suction tank to pull out my tranny fluid, but there is so little space to work in the back of a MAX IV. How do get fluid poured back into the fill hole ? Any suggestions welcome. |

Pat, I use one of those plastic honey bear squeeze containers. It has a wide opening for filling and small point for putting in the tranny. Mine is 12 oz. so the first bottle I just squirt in, the second bottle of 4 or less oz., I put in slowly until it runs out the "fill to" hole. |

Hi folks--I also got a suction bottle (oil axtractor) from an American company called Pella. Mine is the small 2000 model that holds over 2 quarts. It has a see thru plastic hose and a skinny hard black one. Tha black one goes easily into the top hole of my t20 and sucks the tranny dry. you can take the bottom plug out and jack up the front of the machine to prove its empty or on a new machine just check yhe graduations to see that yuo got all 32 0z. then fill er up -28 oz. of type f tranny fluid and 4 oz. of limited slip juice.W. I found my t-20 tranny was 10 oz. low in fluid on a Friday night and I wanted to ride on Saturday. I used a "NO NAME" additive which the jobber said was the same stuff but it made my brakes howl under light braking. I also was having trouble getting the plugs in and out with 12 point 21/32 and 11/16 sockets. I now have a proper 8 point (looks like a star) 9/16 socket. I Am going to try to post a pic. showing the right and wrong additives and sockets. W. Philip Cox Also don,t forget the plug with the little breather hole goes in the top hole and the magnetic one in the bottom. |
