I am thinking of purchasing a used 1988 Max II-4.
It is a one owner, very little use, maybe 50 hours. It has a roll bar, windshield and full canopy. The machine was always garaged. I really don't know anything about the machine but it seems to run well. I tried it out. The asking price is $2500.00. Any suggestions, I am new at this? I am located in RI. Thank you. |

Sounds like a decent machine with all the options and accessories for a nice price, BUT I would be careful. You said it was a 1988 with only 50 hours on it? I'm finding that a little hard to believe. My machine was 2 years old, hardly used and it had 32 hours on it. This is a 14 year old machine with 50 hours?
Take a good look at the chains, wheels, engine and throttle and see how worn they are. Ask for service record (if any). Some deals may be a little too good to be true. Just be careful. |
