I was checking the oil level in my T-20 the other day and it was empty. I filled it up again and within 3 days it's low. What's happening... I suspect the seal between the two sides must be replaced. Was planning to take it apart and use some liquid sealing compound. Anything thing else I should be checking while it is apart. Any suggestions for sealing compound. |

Bob: Have I got the thing for you!!!!! Use Loctite 518 sealent. I am convinced that nothing is better. Do not use a gasket with this stuff, just clean both surfaces and put a small bead on one and bolt together. I will guarantee that your case won't leak, seep or weep!!! This stuff won't get soft like RTV when it comes in contact with ATF. This stuff is not cheap but is well worth the cost. But do yourself a favor and do not buy an RTV sealent. |

hey chris: t-20 transmission runs on aft//dextron fluid due to axial needle bearings inside it...one u.s. quart must be enough to fill an empty tranny........bottom line is that a t-20 tranny doesn't like to bounce with out dextron fluid on it!!! |

TERRY SOUNDS LIKE AN AMPHICAT, CONGRATS ON YOUR NEW VEHICLE OOH DAMM ALMOST FORGOT! YOU USE COMMEN AUTOMATIC TRANY FLUID! TAKE OF TOP PLUG AND BOTTOM PLUG, POAR IN SOME AUTOMATIC FLUID TILL IT STARTS TO COME OUT THE BOTTOM ONE AND REPLACE THE PLUGS YER DONE! IT HAS NO PUMP! IT HAS TWO SIDES THAT USE A COMMON INPUT SHAFT, ON EACH SIDE IT HAS INSIDE A TROWOUT BEARING LIKE DEVICE USED LIKE A PRESHUR PLATE ON A STD CLUTCH TO ACTIVATE AT VARING DEGREASE A CLUTCHPACK LIKE IN AN AUTOMATIC CAR TRANS, THATS OPERATED BY 1 PLUNGER PER SIDE, ALSO THERE IS A PLUNGER FOR THE REVERS TRICK (THE LOOP IN THE MIDDLE)YOU CAN CHAINGE THE OPERATION OF THE TRANY WITH THAT PLUNGER ,IT STOPES A SPINING DRUM INSIDE THAT FORCES THE POWER TO DEVERT THREW PLANETAREY GEARS TO POWER THE VEHICLE BACKWARDS, IT'S NOT EFITIONT SO IT WILL STALL THE VEHICLE OR ENGINE BUT YOU ONLY HAVE TO BACK UP A SKID STEAR A FEW FEET RIGHT? NEXT PLUNGER IS YOUR BRAKE BAND, IT'S A WET TYPE SO YOU WILL NEED TO PUT YOUR BACK INTO IT BUT IT IS SUPIREOR TO A T-20 CAUS YOU CONTROLE HOW MUCH BRAKING PRESHUR THER IS AND THIS MAKES THEM SAFER TO DRIVE, OOH IT'S ALMOST CERTINLY AN A.B.S. BODYED VEHICLE SO IF YOU NEED A BODY REPAIR KIT IM YOUR MAN, |
