While out the other day, and doing some turning in reverse, something gave out on the right side and the stick went back two inches farther than the left one. Then I discovered that there were no breaks on the right side, so I can only make left turns in forward and the same for reverse but I can go straight, just hope that I don't have to turn right, that's all! Any help would be helpful. |

Jim: Sounds like you broke the band on the right side. I think Richard has them. Just give him a call, or email him, and he can fix you up. Also check the linkage, but I'm sure you've done that already. |

Jim: The linkage is attached to the plungers that go into the tranny. If the C clip popped off and the pin came out then your lateral(stick) would come back like you said it did. On my attex I would pull the floor pan lift up the enging hood and see if everything is attached, if it is, then it will be the band. The pin deal is about a 1/2 hour to fix........the band is about a 1/2 day, and they are not cheap!!!!!! Hope this helps you; spring is here, time to ride!!!!! |
