hey im new to this game any help is good help

i have a older max that doesnt turn to the left when i pull the left stick it stops moving
it turns well ro the right
i have to go fast to turn to the left it feels like no power to the right side on turns

second i think it has the wrong belt on it it doesnt seem to go fast or have a lot of power how do i tell what belt is right
