Hats the maximum any of you have taken off these and where's the best place to get bushings, fiber washers, seals and o rings while we're talking about it? This will be a back up trans Thank you all Dave |

I know what the O.D. should be. That info I'll get tomorrow at work. Those Drums are case hardened, so you can't take too much off. Are you turning them in a lathe or grinding them? Call Fritz @ Max for the fiber washers. You can get O rings at any good hardware store. You can get the seals at any bearing house. there should be a # on them. whipper |

Thank you Whipper. Turned these in a lathe. They didn't seem very hard. This came out of a 74 max if that matters. I'll check back later Thanks |

I don't know what the max is you can take off. The most I've ever taken off is about .010. And whether it's .020 or .010 isn't enough to have to reline the bands. If the bands are in good shape Just adjust the plungers. If I had to take .030 or more off, I wouldn't use it. Whipper |

Welp I took .40 off accidentally so I'm gonna talk to TC and see if they can make the band material a little thicker if possible? If they can't I guess i just trashed these drums but they had some pitting I wanted gone,I will keep everyone posted on this fiasco I've created Thanks again Whipper |
