I have a Kohler 20 magnum. When I start It I have to remove the air filter and hold my hand over the carb to completely choke it off. I then have to kind of flutter my hand off to keep it started. Once it starts it runs great! Any suggestions?

The jets are plugged with dirt from the fuel, you need to clean the carb with extra care, also the fuel tank to get rid of the dirt. Dave
