I've got a chance to pick up a Coot Red Baron. My dad had one when we were kids. He bought the model with no engine in it and installed a 303 wankel engine out of an Arctic Cat Panther. OMG, would that thing ever fly! It was too fast to ride through the fields and woods, but it sure would rip up the road! Later on I installed an 8hp Kohler 4 stroke and rode it around a lot that way. I located one a while back on a local classified sight and I'm thinking about picking it up for a future restoration. It's the first one I've seen since I was a kid and I've forgotten about everything about it. I'd like to compare notes and info with anyone else out there that might have one. I think they made two other models - a "Snoopy", and I can't remember what the other one was called. If anyone has another one of these buggies I'd sure appreciate letting me know. I just found this site and it looks great! Thanks in advance for your help! |
