I found a 1969/70 trailboss. Which my son has restored to excellent condition. He has a Rhonda clone 346cc 18hp engine with 1 inch bore drive. Engine mount adapter plate and belts. We plan on using a magnum clutch 1700-3100rpm. All pretty simple and straight forward. Here is the twist. We would like to add a external pulley outside the drive clutch to drive a 63amp auto alternator. Powering dual 100/500w headlights amber fog lights. Backing buzzed. Amber rotator while plowing and eventually to power a external electric trolling motor while traversing bodies of water. Add a bilge pump navigation lights and possibly a 2kw inverter for remote power if needed. Has anyone attempted to drive a external alternator in the way? If so or any suggestions will help. BTW my sons has youtube vids up under liv2playdave. Channel. |
