My 35hp Briggs makes a rattling sound and loses power when I put a heavy load on it, it also seems to get excessively hot. Anybody else have this problem and what was the result/solution ?
I have a high hp briggs and I have to use 100 octane or better to stop the engine from "pinging" or spark knock(pre ignition). I have tried premium with a octane booster but it is not as good. I would try some racing fuel and see if that stops it. I also put an oil temp guage in mine.
