The clutch will break pretty easy, do not beat on it, get the right puller, which screws into the clutch and "pushes" it off the crankshaft Brad

Hey Everyone,

I have an old ARGO 8x8 magnum that is in dire need of some maintenence due to age and wear and tear. A couple years ago i had the bearings, chains and one axle replaced. SHortly after i had both clutches rebuilt. I have been unable to make it to where i keep the ARGO for quite some time and it has only been run once in the past 2 years. I went to run it last week and noticed that once i got it running, the engine is running very hard. It lacks power and torque and i find that as soon as i get it up to half throttle, or more, i loose a ton of low end power. I also noticed that the body of the ARGO is warping slightly as the plastic around the steering levers is pushing down on the levers slightly. Does anyone or has anyone ever experianced this? I am thinking that the engine needs to be rebuilt as it has never had any major overhaul in the past- the engine only has 800 hours on the meter - original engine (Kohler magnum 18) Should these engines be overhauled at this point? What can i do to stop the body from warping more?

In Addition, what would an engine rebuild cost if i were to take the ARGO down to the plant for some work vs. taking it to a dealer to service?

I want to have my ARGO running tip top by the end of the year and get it running like it used to. What should I budget to rebuild the machine, put in 3 new axles, rebuild the engine, and fix the body warping?
