Gary No damage as long as you do not overheat the starter by operating it for a long time, like forcing it to start. In fact many people do that in areas of cold weather Dave |

Speaking of batteries this is what I do to get longer life from mine. Heat and vibration are the biggest enemies of batteries so I put a 1/2" thick piece of closed cell foam under them to eliminate a lot of the vibration. A de-sulfator used occaisonaly will also make batteries last much longer. It's kind of like a "tune up" for the battery |

Yes I have an Optima yellow top in my Tomcar. It takes a beating plus we are sometimes a long way out when we ride. It is a deep cycle so I don't worry about discharging it deeply when winching. I had a lead acid battery in a polaris ranger leave me stranded when it shorted out once. thsts when I put the Opptima in. I also use Optima's in the boat. They are worth the money if you ask me. |

Dave I an not trying to be rude but if you search Tomcar you will have a much better idea what it is than if I try to explain. The Tomcar AU website is a good one. There are also some pretty good videos on youtube. Check it out and let me know waht you think bill |

I use it some on my property about one hour from here but mostly we go to mountains in eastern KY and TN to ride. there are thousands of miles of trails on 100,000's of thousands of acres. Search "Brimstone Recreation", "Harlan County Trail Riders" and "Windrock". They will link you to even more sites. The TC turns great when the rear end is unlocked. It pushes just a little when its locked but it goes so well you dont have to lock in often. bullwinkle |
