Hey there im considering buying an argo(8x8 if it matters...)and have read about outboard motors and such for them but I plan on crossing a pretty fast deep river and was wondering if it was even possible and what you guys might recommend if it is. I saw a link to these dual ones http://www.route6x6.com/classifieds/ATVfloaters/index.html
but i dont think they would be nearly fast enough... I would like something that was convienient, but doesnt need to be as fancy, and once again needs to get me across this river like RIGHT NOW style lol :P THnx guys.

Honestly I don't think those electric motors would give you enough push to get across a fast current and could be more than risky. Due to the shape and depth of the Argo, I think you would probably need something along the lines of a 5-7HP outboard, probably longshaft. Maybe you could borrow a small O/B and give it a test in a pond somewhere.
