I just made it up to the cabin this last weekend for the first time in two months because I have been working out of state, my Argo has just been sitting up there. When I jumped in to start it, I turned the key, the brake blower motor came on strong, and then when I turned the key to get to the starting position, all went dead, the starter didnt click or anything, the blower motor stopped there was nothing, as soon as I release the key from the starting position to the pre start position, the fan is running strong again. The first thing I did was put a battery charger on it, but that isnt it, the battery is fully charged. The wierdest thing was this, I turned on the front lights, turned the key to pre start so the blower is running, then stood in front of the Argo, turned the key to the start position, everything again went dead, but the lights were still going strong, didnt even dim. Has anyone had this problem? I have no idea even how to get to the starter yet( I had other things to do besides work on the Bigfoot), but something is shorting out and I dont know where to begin ?
It started manually with the pull start and ran just fine, drove it all over,Please help

Thank You
Joe Jensen

Hey joe , sometimes a bad ground connection can seem very much like a faulty starter;try checking these first.
Good luck, GG

I have a question about your argo.I know some time starters burn a dead spot in them but I would need more info. How are the argo machine in general to work on ,I have a buffalo, and a old ,old ,max the max is harder to work on because of the shorter wheel base .are older argo 6 wheeler like this comparing them to the new frontier? Is there a lot of room aroung the chains ?
