Ok, I am working on being an informed buyer here, I have already downloaded copies of the Argo Owner's Manuals. Lots of good stuff in there to know BEFORE you go buying something for thousands of dollars of your hard earned money. Mainly because these are NOT a Japanese ATV manufactured by a company that makes motorcycles, that requires what could be termed as "minimal" maintenance. A cruise through the Argo manual does a nice informative job of outlining & presenting maintenance REQUIREMENTS, not options. Not to mention the things that I have read on this board concerning the resale value of a unit that has been poorly maintained. I have yet to find online a place to download free copies of the MAX owner's manuals so that I can obsorb the material. I have seen sites that want you to pay for the file, but why would I pay for a file about a unit that I might not even purchase? Argo's files are FREE. Anyone know where I can find the files for free? |

Thanks Jerry, I am busily sucking the material up into my brain. As the old Navy saying states, "If you don't know how it works, then how can you expect to break it?" Seriously though, All of this reading is filling the gaps and it is not nearly as clear cut as I had previously thought. MAX ATVs have a few nice design simplicities that I would not have considered, very interesting. I am an intense person, and I love tearing apart things to see how they were engineered, and it has gotten me into trouble sometimes, not knowing just how to reassemble things. Since that time I tend to look at schematics and drawings, and if something is not quite clear to me I will go find one and look at that particular point. My bosses (and wife) like me alot more when I don't take things apart, put it back together, only to somehow end up with extra parts. |
