I am looking at used Argo Avengers and have found an 04 and an 06 with similar hours but the 06 is $1,500 more than the 06. Are there significant differences between the 04 and 06 Avengers ? Are these differences worth the $1,500 difference in price ? Any used Avengers for sale out there ? Thanks for the help. |

What are the colors? I have been told by Argo dealers the tundra green will do better in resale than the other colors like yellow or blue. There was a brake upgrade. Have you driven each machine? How do they compare driving them? Do they have identical options? Are they from private sellers or dealers? |

One is camo and the other is tundra. I will use the Avenger (currently have a Conquest) for duck hunting so red/yellow is out of the question. I have not driven either one yet. They are 5 - 7 hrs away from North Alabama, so I want to be sure before I make a trip. These are private sellers. |

Butch how long do you plan on keeping the one you buy. The difference is close to the recommended blue book value on the avenger for the years you mentioned. In my area $9270 for the 2004 and $10915 for the 2006. If you plan on keeping the one you buy for a long time I'd save some money and go with the 2004. If you are only going to keep it a couple of years I'd buy the 2006. |

Thank you Steve. There are a lot of good people on here that just love the sport or hobby. I have learned a lot from the guys here; Richard, Roger, Brandon, and Fred Sain and Fred Sowerwine are just a few of the guys that are always willing to help out. |

The camo body is worth about $600 more, new cost, for the 8x8 so you can consider that if the two vehicles are otherwise the same. I'd go for the '06 if it has been well cared for. '04 was the first year for the Avenger. There were a few chain tensioner problems that were resolved (for the most part) in later years. Also, the Avenger started with the 25hp Kohler in '04 and soon went to the 26hp. Almost no difference really, but who wants the little one? haha |

Thanks to all for the information, especially the pricing info. The two that I was considering are overpriced based upon the information ya'll have provided. I have had my 94 Conquest for 5 years (nothing wrong with her just time for an upgrade) and plan on keeping the Avenger for a long time. The units I am looking at are about 5-7 hours from North Alabama so I want to be sure before I travel that far. I am not in a hurry so I will just take my time and look for the best deal. |
