have this Allis Chalmers Terra Tiger 6 wheel ATV not sure of the year somewhere between 1969-1972 i believe. I am having trouble keeping it going. It will start first or secend pull but will die shortly after. If I gun the gas after it starts it will run but once you stop it will stall. It will idle all day but I have been told it shouldnt idle so nice. It is a Rotax 249cc 2 stroke motor. 2 Speed carb, High and low set screws. I have screwed around with the idle screws but keep seem to find that right spot and I cant find any info on the motor to find the factory settings. The other problem is that someone unhooked the electric start so you have to pull it (what a bitch), Well the thing(not sure of the name) that the pull start grabs when you pull it is strips so the pull cord does not catch onto anything when you pull it. It recoils fine. I hope I was able to explain that ok. Need help finding the correct setting for the high and slow sped screws. I beleive the High speed is the messed up on. as soon has you hit the gas it doesnt react quickly and doesnt seem to get enough fuel. If anyone can help that would be geat. I am not able to find anything about this machine online |
