I have a 2001 MAX II with a 16 hp Briggs Vanguard engine, and an interested in swapping the engine for a larger one, maybe another Briggs or Honda. Have any of you guys done this. Can I use same belt sleves? Ryan Singer |

Ryan, what is your reason for the swap? You should be able to keep everything if you are staying 4 stroke and the same engine family provide the crank in the same. I really like the 16 hp in the Max II but that is just playing and not pushing a blade or using tracks. |

Ryan, there are tons of post on this board about engines, a Vanguard 18hp swap would be easy and give you larger cube inch engine. Installing a Honda would be a lot more work and in my opinion not worth it. As Jerry asked what are you trying to obtain? Maybe we could be more help if we knew more R Longfellow |
