Hey guys, I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem, when I have the tracks on my conquest, it seems to pull quite a bit to the right, I checked the tire pressures, the brakes aren't binding, I can't figure it out and it's annoying! |

check your chain tension- this has happened to me a couple times and it was because one of the tensioners were not working properly so the chains were running slack and not driving properly |

Ed, A good friend of mine has an 8 wheel conquest that he uses a lot for getting firewood in the winter. He has the same problem, but only when he tries to drive longer distances at higher speeds. His brakes will overheat on one side to the point that they fail completely which turns the machine. He has to stop and smoke a cig. for a while til the brake pressure returns then away we go again. I agree it is annoying, if you find an answer please let us know. Thanks W. Philip Cox |

I often have the same problem, Ed, this year more than last. If all else fails, raise the tire pressure on the side it turns towards 1/2 lb. So if you are drifting to the right, raise the pressure on the right side. Works for me every time |

I've had tires including runamuks vary in diameter more than a 1/2" at the same psi. |

thanks for your help guys, I don't think it's my brakes over heating because it doesn't bind , and I 'm always checking to make sure I'm not riding the brake, I'll try increasing the tire pressure, It's not that noticeable thru the trails, but when I'm crosssing the lake, I'm constantly drifting to the right. |

Rubber or plastic track? Is one track more worn than the other? |

Are you heavy? Sometimes adjusting your weight more to centre (since the Argo is RHD) with tracks and reduce drift. |

the tracks are plastic, and I can't see any excessive wear on any particular side.....as for my weight?...about 220, and yes I have tried sitting towards left side, and carried a passenger about my size sitting next to me, and the drift is still there. |

My 8x8 conquest drifts to one side or the other when I'm going up or down trails. If the trail has a slope to the right or left, that's the direction my conquest takes and I have to make corrections. |

Usual suspect is the air pressure on your tires being inconsistent. |
