The left brake on my 94 Conquest heats up and my brake lever ends up against the firewall with no freeplay after hard driving. Do I need to bleed my brakes ? If so, what is the best method to bleed the brakes ?
AVENGER OWNERS - just to let you know I got the brake lever upgrade from my dealer which consisted of a half pulley, an olite bushing,a bolt and nut and a new cable with grommet you have to route the cable different then the existing direction but once installed you can adjust it right at the lever and the new system will stop the machine dead just like the old steering bars did also the effort is cut in half due to the pulley so even kids can use it effectively. I was told the newer master cylinders had a slightly stronger spring to help push the pistons and hardware back and this was the cause for the stiff and somewhat unaffective brake lever;also if you have the brake light kit the return spring on the cable is not needed.Just thought I would give a heads up to this issue.
Steve I have to agree. I installed the kit on a Frontier and the difference is night and day. I can't believe the huge improvement with such a little change. I just picked up an Avenger EFI with the kit already on it. A light pull on the lever gives you the ability to lock up the tires. I recommend the upgrade to everyone with handle bar steering.
