I am new to 6x6s. I have a hustler 6x6. Rides fine at slow speed. But at higher speeds feels like i am on a horse. Is this how all 6x6s ride? Tony |

It depends on the tires and the tire pressure. Since you don't have a suspension it can be rough if you are trying to go fast over bumpy terrain. These are legitimate "all terrain vehicles" that are meant to get a person through areas nothing else can go. A person has to trade off the speed (or at least a smooth ride) for this capability. If there is a rythmic feel like a horse at gallop then maybe there is a tire with a flat spot or a mechanical problem like a bent axle or bad bearing. |

Tony, I'm assuming you mean a trotting horse as both the walk and lope are fairly comfortable. Check the pressure in your tires. Skid steers have no suspension except for the tires and they must be at 3 PSI or below. If you don't have a low pressure gauge, get one. Skid steers also need a flexible sidewall and should be 2 ply. Only chevron style, or Goodyear Runamuk, Rawhide, Rawhide III or Super Terra Grip should be used. Use the right tires with the pressure below 3 PSI and the ride isn't too bad. I do have air cushions for sale on my web site which help the ride considerably - even with low PSI in the tires. |

tony id only add this to freds observations, you can also check your axels to be sure there strait, one or more of your tires could have water or other debree in them. and i have noticed that when you leave a 6x6 too long between rides the tires can get a lil flat on the bottom, (stiff)but this usualy works out after a long drive) things of this nature shold be concidered as well. |
