I just got a set of tru traks that are off of a Polaris Ranger 24 links per side, I know I will probably need 4 more links per side. I have a 1999 Max II 600-T with the 22" tires It looks like I definatlly need wheel spacer 5" I assume looks like the muffler will be very close to the track. Will the 22" tires work? Or will I be looking to get some used 21" tires and rims? Thanks for your inputs. Looking for any thoughts or details I may not have thought of. |

What about running the tracks on the back and middle tires only? |

Hi Blair, I urge caution here. I hope one of our Max dealers answers your Question. I have seen Max iis with axle extenders and an external stiffener that goes between all axles along the outside of the tub. I think these things are required to successfully run tracks. Might be worth a free 1 800 call to recreatives. W philip Cox |

I know the RI package comes with axle extenders and stiffiners. I have been looking for pictures and examples so I can get a better idea of what is needed. |

Blair, click on my name and go to my web page. Toward the bottom of my pictures page is a link to my yahoo pictures. In the second album (not "for sale"), there is a picture of a max II with tracks from the rear. It shows the bearing cage and the axle support rail. You will for sure need 21" tires and I would recommend krims on the tires used with tracks. You will need extenders. I have been told of problems with tru-trax and max IIs. Never used them and never seem them. I know that if you don't do the complete beef up system that you will have axle problems and be sure to keep close attention to your tire air pressure when the tracks are mounted even with all the hardware. You will have no flexibility at all (except for the link connectors). I would also advise checking tire circumference of aired up tires before mounting the tracks. Good Luck! |
