I have a 97 Max IV and I would like to put on O-ring chains. I was wondering if there was a cheaper way of doing it other than going through Recreatives. If so do you know how many links I would need to complete the job Thanks. |

Rob,be careful of the type of chain you buy.One of my club members ran chain from a tractor supply house,he had problems with braking links. There are two types of chain, high speed (for motor cycles, atvs etc.) and low speed chain conveyors, farm equip. etc.Seen problems at motor cycle swap meets when folks bought bulk chain only to have it fail because it was low speed chain.I'd buy bulk chain from a M.C. catalog or if the tractor supply house knows it's application.check clearence "o" ring chains are a little wider doubt if it would be a issue but just to be safe. |
