Just want to get some idea if my Bigfoot got stall say about 20km from shore, how can it be towed back if it is not started, will it hurt the Bigfoot if someone tow it back to shore and what should I pay attention to- how to steer and how to brake without power on! Thanks in advance! |

Are you asking how to tow it in the water from 20km out in the water away from shore? That would be close to 12.5 miles away from shore??!! Well I guess you could just tie on to the tow hook on the front and tow it at a no wake speed. It should not hurt the machine to pull it by the tow hook or you could take a line and tie it to the front two axles and tow it. Are you talking about being in the water or are you talking about being out on the ice? The first image that came to mind is being out in openwater and having seatow towing your machine. I was not thinking ice. If you are on the ice you can get a tow from another machine and you can ride in your machine and steer when you need to and brake when you need to. The machine will still steer and brake without having the engine running. Do you carry spare parts and tools to do in the field repair? Very rarely will a machine fail to the point of not being able to at least limp home. |

I towed on the ice a number of years ago, took the belt off, left the TX in neutral and went slow, maybe 10mph. |

Kenny Lo, I've towed my ARGO a couple times after a break down and the way I did it was attaching a tow strap to the tow hook on the front of the ARGO and the other end on the back of the car, putting the ARGO into neutral and then having someone steer the argo. The ARGO breaks will still work with the machine off, just keep it slow. |
