Argo 8x8 or a coot? or something else? the linked picture is very typical of the clearcuts close by, and the type of area I would be driving in for hunting, and excursions. Kevin http://www.wildernesscommittee.org/campaigns/species/sara/reports/Vol23No02/disa ppearing/images/clearcut.jpg |

Logs are brutal on ANYTHING you sit in! If the 8x8 Argo makes your "short list", I'd be sure to use tracks. 1st choice: (hehe)
2nd choice:
3rd choice:

That's pretty rough territory, enough to satisfy my log climbing urges {file} |

I did the 2004 Rubicon Run. Mainly Argos but there were a couple of Coots along. Glad I had an Argo. Problems I saw with the Coots: high fuel consumption compared to an Argo, metal bodies easily dented and did not do well coming up Million Dollar Hill and needed a tow (from an Argo.) In 2005 the only vehicles to make the Run were ARGOs. |
