I like to check the fuel delivery before taking a carb apart. Pull the gas line off the bottom of the tank. Is it flowing out freely? Remove the gas line at the carb and blow through it. Is it clogged? Is there a clogged fuel filter? If everything is "peachy" right up to the carb, then dig in. I just hate changing the settings on a perfectly adjusted carb, because it's near impossible to get it back where it was, should bad fuel delivery end up being the culprit. Though the following linked carb tutorial is directed at 2-stroke motors, you may find some helpfull tips for a 4-stroke carb, too. http://www.route6x6.com/discus4/messages/5/19521.html?1129123593 |

Randy, you can go to www.kohler.com for info on motors, also www.kohler plus.com and enter as guest in off peak hours for shop manuals ,exploded views, part numbers etc.and what parts were used in that spec. number.motors can be the same hp. but some parts may differ for applications customers purchasing those motors spec'ed out.I down loaded and printed a whole shop manual for my kohler 25 |
