Hello Everyone, I am a new user, and also a new aatv owner. I have an older attex, not sure of the year though, has drivers side exhaust exit... I have a question about the electrical, the previous owner was a butcher, nothing was hooked up, and now i have it that way. There are 2 yellow wires,(the lighting coil). there is a blue wire? a black wire? and a red wire that WAS labeled condenser, seems after removing flywheel, someone decided to move the condenser onto the coil, which is external, i am not sure though which wires need to be hooked up to run, and which kill the engine, i have the bridge rectifier figured out, whether or not it is good is a whole new subject... also, it kinda looks like the internal coils, might possibly be hitting the flywheel? is it ok to clearance these with a dremel? take a little off so they dont touch? its real close, and feels like it is binding, but will pull over and turn over with starter, well, i suppose thats a good start for the questions, thanks again for any help, i just want to get this thing running, so i can try it out. thanks again, MIKE D |

sorry, I forgot to ask, If anyone has an electrical schematic for this engine, and could scan it, and email it, it would be a lifesaver, i have all sorts of stuff on the attex, and even the engine, but nothing on the electrical colors, ect... how to hook it up? I'm stumped |

I'm currently swapping my JLO (in my Roughrider) for a bigger Hirth. I'll scan a sketch of the JLO wiring as soon as I get a few minutes. It may be a tad different than the Attex, but if might help. |
