Hi, I'm new the this forum as of yesterday. I have looked around a little bit and there seems to be a lot of great information as well as people on this site and I am looking forward to joining your ranks as a 6x6 owner. My brother and I just picked up our first 6x6 a few weeks ago. Its a Jiger 152, serial number 664. It is amazingly nice condition. It starts and drives but we are having problems steering it as well as going fast. I would estimate the fastest we have had it going is about 5 mph. I know it should be able to go fast than that. The specs I found online said it should be good for 20mph, maybe 25. The speed problem isn't related to the motor because it runs like a top and sounds very powerful. We also can't get the thing to steer properly. We cant make any sharp turns at all, just very, very wide turns. We tighten up some belts but we are still having the same problems. I think the clutch packs are slipping and I was wondering if anyone had any information about how to adjust them. I know this is a bit of an obscure 6x6 but I would appreciate any information anyone could share with me. Thanks --Dean |
