How much temperature can a abs bodied amphicat hold without melting problems? My exhaust is about 170 degrees at full throttle for 15 minutes at where the body would be and was wondering if that would be to hot. |

if your useing the factorys oridganale mufeler location your probly ok, but if your still worried you might craft a sheild between the muffeler and body of plain old thin aluminum, flashing will work. just bend it so it has 1/2"for pop rivets agensed body on each end and 1/2" or more from the body between the body and the exaust components and also open at bottome and top to make use of convection currents to keep the body side cooler, (if you need one i sell ABS body repair kits) fixes cracks and holes, red for body and black for floorbords too! |

I have insulation at the back. I am talking about where it exits the body. It was sorta melted when I got it from the 297 sachs but I put a vanguard in and have to redo the exit hole. I am using the same location but with a larger sized pipe. How much for the body repair kit? |
