I'd like to add a rollbar to my Superchief. Where do I start? Are there any ready made products out there or do I need to have one fabricated? Anybody have any names of companies who can help me out? I'm located in Central Florida, about 75-100 miles north of Tampa and Orlando! Thanks Jeff A. |

You should be able to take it to a local machine shop and get one fabricated. Are you close to Gainesville or Ocala? |

The factory roll bar can be duplicated with a 10' length of pipe. The outside width of the hoop is about 55" . I didn't like the single hoop roll bar on my Superchief, because it would get hung up on low branches and trees if I was driving off camber. I started building a roll cage for my Chief that had a front and rear hoop and braces on the front that would deflect any trees to go up and over the cage. |

Not that this will help, and it's a very self-serving picture, but here's what I've done with a roll-cage on my S-chief project:

Self-serving or not, it's a nice pic and a nice cage. Here's a couple other alternatives: the first two are copies of Attex OEM, the second a variation on some NATVA cages. |

( hydro Mike ) Mike, thats one outstanding picture of your Attex, and I could care less if its self serving or not! ha-ha The roll cage on it also looks very well designed. |

Go to your local muffler shop they can build you one, use 1-1/2" or 1-3/4 x .095 wall tubing, if you have a good muffler shop in your area they won't have any problem building you one, i did a lot of that when i owned my muffler shop, and should be alot cheaper than a fabrication shop. |

Wouldn't that be mild steel tubing? Could it support a roll over or multi roll over? |
